The third way you can save energy is by replacing your bulbs with LED or CFL (compact fluorescent) bulbs, as older light bulbs can leak up to 80% of their energy as heat. You don’t need to change your light fixtures at all, as most energy efficient bulbs come with different fittings so that you can use them in any type of lamp. Also, don’t put your lamps on too early – throw open your curtains and blinds and enjoy the sunlight for as long as possible!

Use Less Water

Now we are not talking about never having a bath or shower, these are essential things to keep you clean after all! But, little changes such as turning the tap off when you are brushing your teeth can save a huge amount of water.
